Capitol Fourth and the National Memorial Day Concert

Capital Concerts, producers of two of Washington’s most time-honored holiday television specials, has relied on H&A for all aspects of VIP guest management. Both concerts are staged on the West Lawn of the Capitol and are broadcast live nationwide on PBS. A Capitol Fourth features the spectacular backdrop of fireworks on the National Mall. Our nation’s top military brass, including the US Joint Chiefs of Staff, participate in the National Memorial Day Concert’s annual tribute to our nation’s service men and women.

Star-studded stage performances have included Academy Award winning actor Tom Hanks, rock and roll icons The Beach Boys, country music superstar Dolly Parton, songwriter James Ingram, Grammy award-winning Irish musical force The Chieftains, Tony award-winning Broadway sensation and television star Kristin Chenoweth, bluegrass legend Earl Scruggs, acclaimed actor Joe Mantegna, Emmy Award winning actor Tony Randall, triple platinum country music superstars Lonestar, all in performance with the internationally renowned National Symphony Orchestra under the direction of premier pops conductor Erich Kunzel.

H&A has worked closely with Capital Concerts to ensure that the more than 800 VIP attendees at the public concerts are handled with personal attention from the moment their invitation arrives in the mail to the time they leave the post-concert cast party in the Capitol Building’s grand Statuary Hall. H&A manages VIP guest list development, invitation distribution, RSVP tracking, follow-up and coordination, guest seating, and guest registration and escorting. H&A’s on-site staff manages VIP seating area logistics, works hand-in-hand with the stage production team to facilitate proper VIP placement for live-television camera shots, and coordinates the set-up and flow of the VIP after-party.
