35th Anniversary Celebration Honoring CEO and Founder
Steve Janger

On the occasion of his retirement, the Close Up Foundation selected Hayes & Associates to assist in honoring Close Up CEO and Founder Steve Janger during a special tribute event held at the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center.

The keynote speaker for the evening was The Honorable Robert Dole, whose moving tribute commemorated Mr. Janger’s 35 years of dedicated service to civic education. Other featured speakers included Close Up alumni Senators Mary Landrieu and David Vitter, as well as the Supreme Allied Commander, Europe and the Commander of the United States European Command, General James L. Jones, who remembered their fond experiences with the Close Up Foundation and Mr. Janger himself.

H&A provided all logistical support to The Close Up Foundation, including writing and mailing letters of invitation, placing personalized follow-up calls, arranging for all catering, audio-visual and equipment needs, recruiting VIP participants and directing the program the day of the event.

In addition, H&A oversaw all aspects of fundraising for the event, garnering sponsorship revenue from such corporations as General Motors, Pfizer, Forest Laboratories and the Target Corporation.
