General Electric Company
Imagination Nation
H&A was enlisted to assist The General Electric Company
in showcasing their newest technology in the fields of Transportation,
Security, Energy, Healthcare and Research and Development, demonstrating
that GE is not just about light bulbs and refrigerators. H&A
worked with G.E. to design and implement a technology expo and
reception at Union Station, in Washington, DC. A total of 12
new and innovative products were on display, including the GE90, “the
world’s most powerful jet engine” and the H-Turbine,
the largest and most advanced gas turbine in the world.
The purpose of the expo was to promote GE’s diversified
technology and services, highlighting its dedication to “creating
products that make life better.” The challenge for H&A
was the difficulty of working in Union Station, one of America’s
busiest train stations, to facilitate a high-level VIP event
attended by over 1000 guests. H&A provided guest list development,
RSVP management, event logistics advice and services, as well
as media relations support.
Presided over by GE Chief Executive Officer Jeffrey Immelt,
the expo underscored the fact that GE employees worldwide are
dedicated to turning imaginative ideas into leading products
and services that help solve some of the world's toughest problems.
