H&A has assisted NABEF in raising funds for its annual “A Celebration of Service to America” Awards, at which the foundation honors a number of television and radio stations from around the country for their exceptional public service contributions. Additionally, the NABEF presents their highest award, the Service to America Leadership Award, to a prominent world figure who has demonstrated outstanding leadership in philanthropic efforts. Her Majesty Queen Noor of Jordan, First Lady Laura Bush, Former President Bill Clinton and Sir Elton John are just a few examples of those who have received this honor.

H&A has built a strong Steering Committee lead by Co-Chairs Lea Ann Edwards, Johnette McCrery, Marcelle Leahy and Diana Enzi, and an impressive group of Congressional spouses and corporate leaders. With their help, H&A has raised nearly $650,000 for NABEF scholarships and fellowships of broadcasting.

NABEF is a non-profit organization dedicated to serving the public interest in supporting and advocating: education and training programs, strategies to increase diversity, initiatives stressing the importance of the First Amendment, community service, philanthropy, and other timely broadcasting issues.
