National Osteoporosis Foundation
The National Osteoporosis Foundation asked H&A to take over
management of a certified 5K run/walk through the streets of
Washington, DC, beginning a new course toward growth and development
for NOF.
H&A recruited thousands of people- corporate sponsors, Members
of Congress and the diplomatic corps, health-care professionals,
and community leaders- to participate in outreach events and
meetings leading up to the Race, raising awareness and funds
for NOF. H&A managed all logistics for the Race and Health & Fitness
Festival, securing necessary permits, contracting with equipment
suppliers, and managing security and site set-up requirements.
H&A raised significant corporate sponsorship funding for
the Race and Health & Fitness Festival, and recruited exhibitors
for the Festival that provided to Race participants and the general
public valuable information about resources for a healthy life.
H&A also provided media relations services to NOF for the
Race, securing media sponsors such as Prevention, NBC4, Soft
Rock 97.1 WASH-FM, 99.5FM, Roll Call, Capital Style, Washington
Families Magazine, and Next Generation Network. The Race and
its nine-month campaign reached a broad cross-section of people
who became newly educated about osteoporosis and measures they
can take to avoid this disease in their lifetime.
