Presidential Inauguration
Magnolias and Mimosas

For both the 2001 and 2005 Presidential Inaugurations, Trent and Tricia Lott, on behalf of Lockheed Martin Corporation, welcomed Mississippi friends and guests to a brunch in the Russell Caucus Room. After being welcomed by Senator and Mrs. Lott, guests, including Members of Congress, their spouses and staff, had the opportunity to mingle and taste Southern delicacies and drinks exemplifying the culture and flavor of the state of Mississippi and its heritage before heading outside to the swearing-in ceremony.

H&A planned and organized all aspects of these events: securing the location and determining site set-up, décor and audio-visual requirements; designing, printing and mailing the invitations; building and managing the guest list and RSVP’s; working with the caterer to create memorable, authentic-Mississippi menus; designing appropriate guest gifts that met Congressional ethics guidelines; and providing all on-site staffing during the event including directing the brief speaking program.
