Paralyzed Veterans of America
2006 Honors Gala
This year Paralyzed Veterans of America (Paralyzed Veterans)
marked its 60th anniversary by hosting an awards gala on September
12, 2006 at the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade
Center. H&A was proud to coordinate this celebratory event,
which honored outstanding individuals and corporations who have
supported our nation’s vast community of military veterans.
Paralyzed Veterans Honors recipients included former Secretary
of Transportation Norman Mineta (Honor for Civil Rights), NASCAR
legend Richard Petty (Honor for Motorsports), and Senator Bob
Dole (Honor for Lifetime Achievement). The gala was attended
by members of congress, cabinet secretaries, and corporate and
community leaders from around the nation.
H&A planned and executed every aspect of the event, including
VIP participation, design and direction of staging and décor,
site management, audio visual design and production, sponsorship
recruitment, and media relations. The result was a flawlessly
produced awards gala that raised awareness of Paralyzed Veterans,
and attracted new corporate partnerships and contributors.
