Statesmanship Award Dinner

H&A provides logistical organization and fundraising services for the USAFMC Statesmanship Award Dinner held annually at the Ritz-Carlton in Washington, DC. The Statesmanship Award is bestowed upon a former Member of Congress who has continued their dedication to public service.

The event also serves to raise funds through corporate sponsorship and a silent auction, enabling USAFMC to continue its legacy of public service through unique programs that reach U.S. citizens and the global community. H&A approached this aspect of the project by greatly expanding the role of the steering committee, which led to a significant increase in funds raised over previous years.
The 2007 Statesmanship Award Dinner paid tribute to The Honorable Dirk Kempthorne, Secretary of the Department of the Interior. The Honorable Robert Portman, Director of the Office of Management and Budget, was presented with a special Excellence in Public Services Award as well. More than 400 guests attended, including prominent business and community leaders, members of the diplomatic community, corporate supporters, government officials and Members of Congress.

In addition to a seamlessly executed logistical effort, H&A worked with USAFMC to develop a strategy that uniquely married the assets, relationships, and skill sets of USAFMC with those of H&A to optimize fundraising capacity, efficiency and outcomes.
