Director of PR & Marketing
Hayes and Associates (H&A) is a full-service PR, marketing and fundraising firm, which has produced high-impact results for clients for more than 20 years. H&A seeks a Director of PR & Marketing to lead and execute media and marketing efforts for high profile events and programs.
Responsibilities include: Identify and define PR goals; devise strategies to fulfill goals; develop PR plans, press materials, website copy, and other collateral materials; orchestrate press conferences; build and maintain media relationships and lists; secure earned media placements; media train spokespersons; provide advice and counsel to clients on their social media efforts; help manage H&A's website and marketing materials; brainstorm with and act as a resource for staff on client campaigns; research, write and present new business proposals; develop new business opportunities; and, strategize and develop firm's marketing plan.
Flexible hours; can accommodate work from home.
Required skills:
Minimum 8-15 years of related PR and marketing experience.

Account Executive
Hayes & Associates is a fully integrated event planning,
fund raising, public affairs, marketing and public relations
firm located in McLean, VA. We have an immediate opening for
an Account Executive (AE). This position is ideal for someone
who thrives in a fast-paced environment and who is able to take
the lead on projects with minimal supervision. It requires a
consummate professional who is hands-on, detail-oriented, and who takes
a team approach.
Role and responsibilities include:
- Interfaces with high-profile clients and committees
and executes tasks on their behalf thereby facilitating and
coordinating project implementation.
- Experience in planning galas, dinners, receptions,
and meetings.
- Acts as a direct contact and coordinator during all
phases of event planning and execution.
- Creates and maintains project budgets, timelines,
event scenarios, staffing plans.
- Oversees the design and production of decorative
elements for an event.
- Manages the activities of service representatives,
suppliers and vendors involved in the execution of events.
- Assists in or generates and distributes scripts for
event programs.
- Oversees the design and production of all print materials.
- Researches and manages invitation lists and advises
MIS and Production departments on project implementation.
- Produces and sends thank you letters to project donors,
vendors, and clients.
- Reconciles accounting of project expenditures with all vendors
contracted by H&A.
- Accepts other duties as assigned.
Required skills:
Interested individuals should have 3- 5 years of experience in special
event management and conference planning.
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Strong event planning and management skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Self-motivated, works well without close supervision.
- Strong written and interpersonal communications
skills.
- Maintains professional appearance and conduct.
- Strong computer skills, including knowledge of or
ability to learn Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, FileMaker Pro,
and the Internet.
