Jenny N. Tran – President and CEO

Jenny N. Tran, President & CEO of Hayes Group, is intimately involved with every Hayes Group project from beginning to end. She oversees Hayes Group teams for many large-scale events, including the National Memorial Day Concert and A Capitol Fourth Celebration on the West Lawn of the Capitol. She works at every event, providing a hands-on style of management that delivers the best results for Hayes Group clients. Jenny has developed excellent corporate connections, and she raises tens of thousands of dollars on behalf of her clients each year.

Through her years as Chief Operating Officer and Managing Partner of Hayes & Associates, Jenny has learned the event business from the inside out. Working hand-in-hand with Founder Leslie Hayes, Jenny has developed an expert knowledge of Washington’s political and military communities, and the ability to create extraordinary high-level events.

Jenny graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Computer Science and Accounting and has over 15 years of Information Technology and Accounting experience. She speaks both English and Vietnamese fluently.

Leslie Hayes – Founder

More than 20 years after building Hayes and Associates from an idea to a successful business, Leslie continues to provide key strategic insight to current Hayes Group projects. As the wife of a former Member of Congress, Leslie has both connections and knowledge of Washington from a unique insider’s perspective.

Over the years, Leslie has designed numerous events attended by the President and Vice President of the United States, and she’s hosted functions attended by more than half of the U.S. Congress. Her list of clients have ranged from personal philanthropists and major corporations such as NBC, Lockheed Martin, Discovery Communications, General Electric, and Pfizer, to non-profit organizations such as Habitat for Humanity International, March of Dimes, National Wildlife Federation and TAPS (Tragedy Assistance Programs for Survivors).

Mary Bernhard – Production Manager

Mary Bernhard is an Ohio native with a long career in government relations that includes several years working on Capitol Hill, before joining Hayes in 2007. Her political experience provides valuable assistance to the Hayes team in reaching out to Members of Congress, Administration officials, congressional staff, companies and trade associations on behalf of clients.

Mary Jo Myers – Associate Director of Public Affairs

Mary Jo serves as a key adviser to the Hayes Group, providing valuable senior military contacts and guidance, particularly to events involving VIP’s. A military spouse for more than 40 years, Mary Jo now serves on the advisory boards for THANKSUSA, Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors (TAPS), National Military Family Association, and the Board of Trustees for the Fisher House Foundation. Her board experience provides a unique perspective for ongoing Hayes outreach efforts.

Mary Jo was instrumental in establishing the “Hero Miles” program operated by Fisher House Foundation that uses donated frequent flyer miles to purchase tickets for families of hospitalized military members to visit their loved ones.

Lida Peterson – Special Events Manager

Lida’s background includes work in the information technology field as an IT Manager of a Land Development company and as the Senior Network Administrator for the International Monetary Fund. She has been planning and coordinating events for over 10 years.

Peterson holds the Certified Planner of Professional Meetings (CPPM), Certified Diversity Meeting Professional (CDMP) and Certified Tourism Ambassador (CTA) designations and has coordinated and managed events in China, Vietnam, Cambodia, Morocco, Greece and various locations within the United States.

Sara Sterling – Senior Account Coordinator

Sara brings to our team over 20 years of experience in relationship management, employee training, and customer service. With a high level of personal accountability and attention to detail, Sara works closely with both staff and clients to ensure successful events.

Since joining the Hayes team in 2014, Sara has provided vital assistance in the areas of logistics, staffing, research, and on-site event troubleshooting for a variety of events.

Anh Vu – Special Events Coordinator

Anh has held key managerial positions in years past, including working closely with several Executive members of a local non-profit. Her attention to detail and commitment to her clients are key components of her success as a Real Estate Agent. Anh works tirelessly in order to deliver exceptional results.

In her time at Hayes Group, Anh has proven herself a great asset through her management, fundraising, and event coordination skills.
